Yes they do charge for parking, at least on a Saturday check-in they did.

We paid for shuttle tickets whe n we arrived. Only used it once. Long wait and many other stops. We opted to walk the other days even though we bought shuttle tickets. It's a nice walk. And going through downtown Disney was great

The pool.is heated. The splash pad is not. I probably would skip the splash pad and go for the pool.
